Our team of therapists encompasses a variety of skills delivered through online-therapy, and it is our priority to match you with a team member who will align with you and your treatment needs. Whether you are interested in cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or you are not quite sure, you can expect a person-centered approach filled with compassion and empathy. We will meet you where you are and work hard to create an authentic rapport to help begin your healing journey.
In reality, most of us have experienced pain, sadness, and feelings of powerlessness. Here at Mindful Tides Therapy, we strive to challenge the belief that therapy is for the weak. What Should I expect during a session?
All sessions are telehealth, online-only at this time. A typical session is between 45-55 minutes depending on your needs. In the first session, information will be gathered on your history and presenting needs. Once a clear a clear goal is established, you will work with your therapist to develop a plan to meet your needs. You’ll work to build new coping skills, make positive changes, and gain insight in order to help you grow.
Due to safety concerns, you must not be actively driving during a session. Make sure to find a comfortable place where you feel safe to share. If personal privacy is a concern, please inform your therapist upon your first meeting in order to brainstorm ways to navigate this.
